In the Ukyo Ward district of Shimo saga, close to Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 谷町君・星屋・談山旅館 京都嵐山 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. Basically, everything about this property, it's in a good location centrally to some of Kyoto's most famous landmarks. Staff were beyond pleasant and easy to deal with. The property is amazing (unfortunately, my wife wants me to recreate something similar in Australia 🤣). I couldn't recommend it highly enough, would 10/10 rebook this property.

In the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Rinn Tsukinowa has a garden and a washing machine. Everything was great! Location is few mins walk to all cafe's, restaurants, stores and tourist spots! Very well maintained. Staff was so nice and wonderful giving all information and providing free taxi going to your townhouse! We will definitely comeback at Rinn!

Great place to stay: the house is very nice and comfortable. The location very closed to the station is very convenient to get to different places. We definitely recommend it. We are a group of 7 travellers with 3 teenagers from France

The top address to stay during a trip in Kyoto. It’s a really nice place to stay. We enjoyed every moment. The host was very kind and explained not only the facilities but also showed us what you can do in and around Kyoto. Villa Ninja is a great place created with lots of details. I would book it again on my next travel to Kyoto. Thank you!

In the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Campton Kiyomizu Vacation Rental has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. Our unit #7 was great for our family (2 adults & 3 children). The unit was spotless and decorated with quality materials. It enjoyed a great view over the nearby pagoda.

Kyoisuke offers accommodation within 700 metres of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. The house is rich in history. Place is clean and tidy. Host is very pleasant and helpful.

Set in a building with a garden, Inari Ohan is a renovated traditional Japanese-style holiday home located in Kyoto that provides free WiFi. Loved our stay. The apartment was beautiful incorporating many features of a traditional Japanese house and very spacious for our family of 3. The bath tub overlooking the small garden was beautifully designed and a highlight of the property. The coffee shop (and reception) next door was also fantastic! The property was close to Fushimi Inari Shrine and train station which allowed easy travel to the city and the Gion district. Great communication and seamless check in and check out. Very clean. We stayed in another house in the apartment block and checked into this one later during the week of our stay in Kyoto (couldn’t book the full 5 days in either apartment as they were full). The transition across was seamless and the staff super helpful. The booklet in the house outlining how to use appliances and essential tips (train station, restaurants and convenience stores) was also very helpful. Washing machine and laundry liquid was soooo welcome!!!! Very happy with our stay.

BenTen Residences offer a Japanese machiya accommodation in the heart of Higashiyama, Kyoto. Yasaka Shrine is 7 minutes on foot, while Kiyomizu Temple is a 14-minute stroll. A little gem in Kyoto, tucked away in a quiet corner in the area between Gion and Kiyomizu, however close enough to reach dome major highlights by foot. Higashiyama is my favourite area in Kyoto and we loved the vicinity of the hills and the greenery. Although easily reachable by public transport from Kyoto station, the property feels secluded and away from the noise. We loved to stroll around the area, discover bars or cafes in hidden alleys and take in the beauty of the shrines and temples along the way. The house itself is spacious for a party of four (ot could sleep more but then luggage handling might be an issue) and still has the touch and feel of s newly decorated place. The attention to detail is pitsyanding and most of sll we loved thst thr place had a simplistic feel to it in the positive sense. The house is virtually tchotchke and clutter free but offers alll necessities for the modern traveller.
