Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Nýlegur sumarbústaður/friðsæld is situated in Mosfellsbær. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 36 km from Thingvellir National Park.... Location was close to Thingvellir (25 min out) and also close to most north/western part of the island (30min) which was great to be closer to the ocean and other towns. The house was super cute and modern with heated floors (I think). The kitchen had all the extras you could need to cook or eat with a well-stocked pantry. There was also an outdoor seating are and jacuzzi which we didn't get to use but I imagine it would be nice to sit there. It was super windy outside so the noise is kind of scary but the house did not blow away in the end hahah. it was a great stay and very comfortable place!!!

We had such an amazing time at the Oceanfront Villa. Nothing could have prepared us to the moment driving down into the house and taking in the picturesque views. We were surrounded by a real life painting at every turn. The house itself is modern, spacious, and provides all necessary amenities. With the floor to ceiling windows and doors, everywhere you look in the house allows for breathtaking views of the ocean and mountain. During our trip, we got to see northern lights from our bed, spend time in the hot tub, and enjoy each other’s company is a place that truly felt like a home away from home. Our hosts were welcoming and willing to quickly respond to any questions we have. The home is only a 15-minute drive from Hvammsvik Hot Springs, which was nice for a night within the lagoons. You are within driving distance should you wish to go into Reykjavík, but honestly once here – we’d all be surprised you’d want to leave! There was plenty of storage for food to allow for eating together as a group, and all plates, utensils, and cooking equipment was easily accessible and to use to entertain in the house. The house includes a washer in dryer – so no need to overpack! As well as full bathrooms, and clean linens. We enjoyed our stay so much and the only disappointment was packing up our car to leave! Can’t wait to go back and thank you again for sharing your home with us!

Offering a garden and lake view, Cosy lakeview cabin 45 minutes from Reykjavik is set in Mosfellsbær, 48 km from The Pearl and 48 km from Hallgrímskirkja Church. Amazing views, comfort, supplied local food, the heated floors and towel rack are the only heat source and we were never cold inside this lovely cabin! Oh and the just installed barrel sauna with a window overlooking the lake and mountains! The horses across the road that would stare at us as we walked to our car in the morning, and make the best horse noices!
