The property is picture postcard perfect with the added bonus of having all of the modern day comforts that a business or leisure traveller needs. Aisling and Leo are perfect hosts and have really created a beautiful luxury space for couples or small groups to enjoy. The setting is so pretty and private yet very well situated close to restaurants, shops and the local tourist trail. We cannot wait to come back.

If I ahd a rental car as opposed to using a hit and miss taxi service it would be 15/10

The property was superb. Very cosy and had all the mod con’s needed. Dolores and John were extremely friendly and helpful and even had scones for us on arrival and came over to meet us. The icing on the cake was their beautiful dogs who are so friendly. It was top class from start to finish and couldn’t recommend highly enough. John and Maura, Leitrim.

Staying there was magical. It's beautiful and superbly furnished with sympathetic furniture and ornaments. I particularly liked the windows, the pictures, books, and the embroidered fire screen. The amazing windows look out onto parkland and the river. It was so nice to actually be in the parkland of an historic home. I did a guided tour of Castletown house which I recommend. Walks along the river and through park were beautiful. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Check in and out was very easy. The log fire - I hadn't intended to use - but it certainly was lovely to light each evening. I felt very happy and safe here and hope to return next year. There were shops, cafes etc within a reasonable walking distance, the property is at the edge of park and behind it is a lane. So very quiet and secluded in the evenings. I didn't go out in the evening- the property is somewhere you actually want to spend time in. No TV or internet. Nice bathroom - proper bath. A great experience.

Carless, we were attending a wedding at another property seven miles away on what (unknown to us) was the busiest weekend of the summer--taxis were not available. Joanna Fennel arranged for a staff member to shuttle us to the wedding events. 3) the ambiance of the working farm and the garden-to-table ethos; and 4) the bed was really comfortable.
