All the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the whole history of the site, we like the fact that in the evening we had the whole place to ourselves, Some mornings and every evening we went for a walk about and found new places that we had not seen before, A beautiful well manicured gardens, a credit to the owner,The English breakfast was really good, we will stay there again in the future. Everything was wonderful. The lodge is cosy, warm, and clean, the area beautiful, and Nick and Sally are great hosts that clearly care deeply about Jopes and work hard to preserve its history. We came in November and often just enjoyed sitting by the fire. Nick and Sally thought of every little detail. We look forward to coming back.

It was self catering and the kitchen was excellently equipped with everything that was needed. Good size fridge and freezer, very comfortable , lovely and quiet. The three bedrooms had plenty of room and the lounge and dinning area was lovely . The heated swimming pool was a real bonus . Easy to find on Sat nav although off the beaten track. hosts were so helpful when phoned a few days before. Excellently located to see family and friends and a fantastic place for rest and recovery.
