Beautifully decorated and kitchen well equipped - loved the Le Creuset cookware and Cornish pottery. Very quiet location with just the delightful sound of the church bell. We really enjoyed exploring the church and churchyard next door. We explored the local area including Cape Cornwall and walked to Levant mine for a tour. The history of tin mining in Cornwall is fascinating (sounds boring but it isn’t!). The Co-Op across the square is really well stocked and is open until quite late. The Kurt Jackson Art gallery is worth a look after coffee or lunch at the Dog and Rabbit (highly recommended).

Everything was wonderful. The lodge is cosy, warm, and clean, the area beautiful, and Nick and Sally are great hosts that clearly care deeply about Jopes and work hard to preserve its history. We came in November and often just enjoyed sitting by the fire. Nick and Sally thought of every little detail. We look forward to coming back.

It was self catering and the kitchen was excellently equipped with everything that was needed. Good size fridge and freezer, very comfortable , lovely and quiet. The three bedrooms had plenty of room and the lounge and dinning area was lovely . The heated swimming pool was a real bonus . Easy to find on Sat nav although off the beaten track. hosts were so helpful when phoned a few days before. Excellently located to see family and friends and a fantastic place for rest and recovery.

Richard was brilliant, very organised and kind. The place was immaculate with the best quality appliances, kitchenware and bedding/towels. Every bed was so comfortable. We loved the hot showers and the beautiful landscape. Incredible cottage to stay in, a real gem in town.
