Staff at checkin location is sweet n helpful!. Nice little house, spacious with amenities supplied. Good acidic onsen with glass window overloong the canopy of trees. Heater provided in one of the rooms. There is a patio with sliding see through panels where one can sit and enjoy the view and not be attacked by bugs. Further down of the patio, steps take you to a platform where there's a picnic table right next to tree tops.windows all tipical japanese style with 3 sliding types of panels for light, netting and dark out louvres to keep the 4am light out of the bedrooms.. sheets very soft and clean. Clothes drying equipment very good in the room with the heater.

Perfect ski lodge for our large family. The owners were very hospitable and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We took ski and snowboard lessons with Sam, Taki, and Kotone at Nozawa and Togari, and as it turns out Taki’s wife is a world class baker who cooked up the best breakfast buns this side of the Pacific.
Thank you for making our family trip extra memorable!

Massa is sooooo helpful organised and accommodating. He picked us up from busy helped with luggage, organised ski gear(very old but usable gear) very cheap gear and also organised cheap discount lift passes.
He made sure we had our bus and train timeds sorted and communicated complexities with simple clear information.
The house was big and warm, practical and a very close walk to ski slope maybe 300 m on a gentle slope.
Many many bedrooms and a large functional kitchen which was great so we could cook for the 14 of us.
The place is old and in need of recapped and repaint. But this meant we were more relaxed when the kids were playing etc
You can walk to ski slope and enter at AKIs pub/skischool. That is the easiest place to book lessons too. Akis
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Such a nice place to stay, everything was very clean and the common area so well furnished and decorated. We would have loved it be winter to enjoy some traditional made tea next to the stove!
Also Fushiro was kind enough to drive us to town once in a while.
The homemade breakfast was so great, thanks again!
The three onsens were great, so fun just having a quick spa whenever you felt like it day or night!
Very flexible with food preferences/dietary requirements they are able to cater to anyone
Yudanaka town was pretty quiet in spring, not much going on but very relaxing nonetheless
The rooms were very clean and so spacious
The scenery around this part of Japan is way more beautiful than I had expected
Easy to get here - one 45 min train from nagano station
Hosts Yoshi and Seongmi are really friendly and genuinely care about you having a great time. They gave us good tips for things to do and places to eat in the local area which really helped us. The place itself is really accessible via public transport and a great place to explore further from - we walked to the snow monkeys and used the train a couple of times to explore the local area.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were also exactly what we needed for our stay.
Highly recommended to stay here!
Snow Monkeys within a 25 minute walk. This was great.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Access to Shibu Onsens are included and you get the traditional robes and getas too. You can also hire a pirvate onsen for cheap.
Rooms are traditional and was a fun experience. One night on a futon was plenty though.
Shared bathroom was very clean.
Traditional Ryokan room in a building full of character. Staff were very friendly and helpful from initial meeting at the train station. Food was good and prepared fresh to order. All areas were very clean and well presented. Lots of extras, umbrellas, robes, towels, baskets for Onsen and sandals for indoors. It snowed during my stay but it was warm and comfortable in the building. Great map to use all the local Onsens. The staff added an extra drop off time for the monkey park as the first car was full. They really take care of their guests.
