The house was perfect for our family with a shop and bus stop within walking distance. The suburb of Dalkeith was a short drive away with a beautiful park and a larger supermarket. We enjoyed being slightly outside the main center and a 25 minute drive into the city if needed. I really can't fault it at all. Thank you for the hospitality and wonderful communication.

Really comfortable, modern apartment with everything you could need, including a washing machine. Staff were super attentive and accomodating. Loved having Netflix on the TV. Only a 20 or so minute walk into the main part of the royal mile, and a <15 minute walk to local pubs at the lower end of the mile.

Everything is very good. Since the morning the owner of the house personally wrote an email about check-in and all the instructions for the keys. Very nice owner. Everything is taken care of. The place is quiet. The connection to the city is quite convenient. We really liked it.

Clean and comfortable, good size tv, lovely property! Lots of space for our dog in the garden. Milk, water, biscuits and plenty of kitchen essentials provided. Hosts were lovely too. Comfy couch and bed. We were only here for one night to avoid any New Year fireworks at home for our dog but it was ideal- rural and quiet but cozy! We’d definitely come back.

We booked Scott’s lovely apartment for an extended family getaway. There were seven of us in total and we travelled to Edinburgh for the Christmas markets from Ireland. We were looking for a place to chill out in the evenings and a place that felt communal as it was a getaway with cousins and aunties and we wanted a space we could share and catch up with one another! Scott’s place was the perfect option as it has a large living room area with three sofas and a TV. There is a small kitchen area which has a window looking out into the living room - a lovely touch! The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for a cuppa on arrival and there was also bread and tea cakes left by the host. There are two rooms - one big room with two double beds and a smaller room with one double bed. The sofas in the living also fold out into pull-out-beds and were really comfy. It’s a perfect place for a larger group with plenty of space for everyone! Bathroom was also stocked with lots of products, with shampoo and body wash provided for. The area is perfect for exploring Edinburgh on foot, particularly if you’re sticking to the new town for a lot of your activities/ eating out. Just to note - the apartment is located on a cobbled street behind some pubs/restaurants so bins are being filled with glass bottles early in the morning. In case this is something that would bother a light sleeper but we were up and out early most mornings so it didn’t bother us! Would 100% stay here again and our group are already looking forward to returning!
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Easy bus route into centre £4 all day , hotel very clean, quiet, lovely pub next door.
Easy parking . Very good value for money. Rooms very comfortable and spacious, shower great.
Great location near the Edinburgh bypass. Room was very clean and well appointed and comfortable bed ( quite firm bed but we like them that way !) Lovely shower and clean bathroom. The room was quiet and we heard very little noise around us. We had a couple of meals in the Melville Inn which were very nice. Breakfast seemed reasonable compared to equivalent elsewhere and we liked that we could just order what we wanted rather than a buffet style
Large family room perfect for family with one double bed and one double sofa bed. Close location for Edinburgh. Very clean with modern decoration. Handy having the pub restaurant next to it but a bit expensive. We went to Dobbies for breakfast.
It was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The connection to Edinburgh is very easy, and this apartment was a life saver when the city was completely booked and overpriced due to an event! Can highly recommend !
Room was very clean and comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was all that we we would have wanted.
The adjacent pub was excellent. Friendly staff. Tasty well-cooked food, reasonably-priced.
