The cottage is beautiful. In a brilliant location, everything is right on the door. We just got the bus into keswick and walked around Derwent water. The hot tub in the cottage is a lazy spa but is still a brilliant addition.

The cottage is beautiful
The kitchen was fully equipped and we loved sitting round the island grazing and having a wine
The log burner in the lounge made it really snug
The beds are so comfy and the en suite bathrooms were a wonderful addition
Location wise it’s so close the M6 but right in the heart of a rural village. We were close to the lakes and Carlisle. It was perfect for our visit.
We would definitely return

Good location, great space inside and particularly the living room with enough room and seating for all of our party. Alastair was a great communicator. Kitchen facilities were good. Parking no problem even for three cars.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Lovely comfortable cottage. Very clean. Very warm wood burning stove in lounge.
Pub was wonderful we ate there every evening.
Location was perfect for Haweswater and Ullswater.
Handy local shop and garage.
Our suite was nice and spacious with a very comfortable bed and nice en-suite. The rooms were very clean and the food in the restaurant and brasserie was outstanding, and the breakfast was equally tasty. All staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.
Thank you for making our wedding anniversary special!
Wonderful period hotel, stunning location, startlingly good food, attracts congenial, engaging and interesting co-residents; very clean and comfortable, exceptionally pet-friendly. Location is very likely the best in the Lakes for views, tranquility, wildlife, dark nights, the dawn chorus, and inviting gardens. I could see Jeeves and Wooster being set here, but with all mod cons for a romantic weekend.
The location of the hotel is incredible, we've stayed all over the Lakes, but never before over to the East. It isn't as easy to get to as the Windemere area, for example, but that was great for us. It's not a large hotel, and it's not modern, but it has a charm that is hard to beat. The views are wonderful, the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms and hotel generally was very clean, and the food was far beyond what we expected. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake. Fabulous.
That we could take our dogs, everything was very organised, staff were friendly, room was very clean and fresh. Will definately return and recommend to others .
