In a prime location in the Phra Sing district of Chiang Mai, Ma Guesthouse Chiang Mai is set less than 1 km from Wat Phra Singh, a 10-minute walk from Chiang Mai Gate and 1.2 km from Three Kings... This was so far the best place we booked during our trip to Thailand. The building, the staff, location, price and breakfast - 10/10. I miss this breakfast already :)

The owners were super friendly, helpful and positive. I loved the interview with them. I loved that the place is very clean and it’s not allowed to smoke in the rooms, to which I am very sensitive and I could not smell any trace of it. The room was spacious enough, with fridge and good wifi. It’s walking distance from the night markets and lots of temples and places to visit. I stayed twice there during this trip and I fully recommend it.

Wayside Guesthouse provides accommodation located 600 metres from the centre of Chiang Mai and offers a garden and a terrace. Hidden gem inside the walls in Chiang Mai! So happy we found this place. Jackie is lovely and helps any way she can, prepares delicious breakfasts and the room was great for the price, spatious, with a fridge, AC and spotless clean everyday. Really recommend this place if you are staying in Chiang Mai, didnt disappoint!

I stayed for one month. Bow, the lady in reception, is one of the kindest (and funniest) people you'll meet, and she made my stay so good. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotless, and rooms are cleaned daily. Bottles of drinking water are delivered to the room every day. There are loads of great coffee stands and streetfood on the same road. It's peaceful even though very near the city (5 mins on foot into the old city). Very safe area. There's a microwave and kettle in the reception area to heat food. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was good too. Bow is always on hand to help or offer a Thai snack! The hotel offers a very soft landing to foreigners arriving in Thailand and Chiang Mai if you've never been before.
