Location, it's in an apartment building above a mall, there is a night market nearby, so it's convenient. Spotless clean, well equipment and furnished, the owners were friendly. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. While it's on the north side of the river from city center, it's very easy to get downtown by Grab or by boat for just a couple of ringgit. I actually like very much how it's a little removed from the centre of action and is very peaceful at night. The common areas are well equipped and it looks like there's even enough to cook a full meal if one wished to do so. The bed in my room was comfortable. I had a great sleep each night. Zack even offers tours (extra $ of course). He brought me out to Semenggoh and a couple of other stops at a reasonable cost. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and basic toiletries were provided.

I booked a three night stay that I ended up extending for four more nights! From the start, Zack was a great host. He offered to pick me up from the airport for the same rate as a Grab, but rather than taking me straight to the guesthouse, he gave me a tour around the city and we stopped for dinner on the way! One day I went to the laundry and it started raining heavily, I get a message from Zack offering to come pick me up (for free)! Throughout my stay, Zack would check to see if I needed anything and he provided me with lots of suggestions for things to check in and around Kuching and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations as well as the conversations with the other guests in the communal kitchen.

Offering a shared lounge and city view, Marco Polo Guest House is located in Kuching, 12 km from Sarawak Stadium and 41 km from Fort Margherita Kuching. This is an authentic old school Kuching place, very laid back. The breakfast is great, they serve awesome coffee. What makes this place special is that Sam and his wife go out of their way to accommodate you. Sam even arranged a personal guide and driver arranged for a national park that was far away. Lots of inexpensive, good Chinese and Malaysian good in the area. Also a good spot to meet other backpackers, to split tours and friendship of course! I would definitely stay again!

They have a small grocery store downstairs you can purchase things you need. Located very close to Sibu Bus Terminal.
