The property is very clean and very well maintained. I travelled with my mother and 7 year old daughter and stayed in the triple room. The room is large and very clean with free water bottles, tea and coffee provided with a kettle. The pool is very clean and well maintained. The lady who manages the place is very friendly and accomodating. The lady who is the cook and helper is incredibly lovely and helpful. The owner is also friendly and always cleaning and maintaining the property and the pool. We were so impressed by this family run accomodation. Our breakfast on both mornings were beyond amazing. So delicious and so much variety with local fish served as well. We loved everything about this property. Thank you 🙏

Their hospitality and customer service were excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms is superb. They maintained their garden looking lovely and clean.

Attractively situated in the centre of Anuradhapura, Sunhill Lake Tourist Rest features free WiFi, a garden and free private parking for guests who drive. We arrived very late after 1 AM from Colombo via the express bus and the hosts waited for us! Room was spacious and comfortable with hot water and a/c. Breakfast spots were within walking distance. Their house faces the lake with migratory birds and can be a pleasing morning or evening walk. Host managed to arrange a scooter for us at a resonable price, which we took to visit the ancient capital and Mihintale. They have 2 teens and we chat with their daughter about the country, cricket, salaries and inflation. Host wife allowed us to use the kitchen to cut fruits. Host husband dropped us at the bus station on his tuk tuk for the next leg of our journey. I'd say it is a pleasant stay to get to know the locals better.

10 km from Pidurangala Rock in Habarana, Priyavimana resort provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and spa facilities. Our stay was magnificent. The host picked us up from train station when we arrived late from Colombo. We easily discussed anything and he also rented us scooter and booked safari tour for us for reasonable price. The room was nice and breakfast just amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone.

And I was very skeptical for staying at a family place, but the overall experience is very pleasant. The staffs there were extremely nice.
