Really lovely ski lodge, superrr clean, nice shower and onsen room which is used privately but other guests also use. Owner was really nice with a smooth check in process.

Mayuko-san is very friendly and accommodating, she cooked a small dinner for the guests when I was there and told us about traditional Japanese dance. A very lovely guest house!

Located within 14 km of Mount Bandai and 20 km of Aizuwakamatsu Station, Guest House Inawashiro~Hanbog~ features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Inawashiro. Hanbog guest house is simply amazing. The staff are so friendly and are keen to give lots of recommendations. As the guest house is a 30 minute walk from the nearest train station, the owner offers a pick up and drop off service so you are able to get around for day trips. Upon recommendation from the owner, I took a trip to Aizu Wakamatsu and Nanukamachi street - just a short train ride away- and went to Tsuruga castle, the tea ceremony and the Oyakuen medicinal herb gardens. These were all so beautiful and well worth seeing when staying in Inawashiro. The next day, the staff took me to the train station to rent a bike for just 500 yen for the whole day. I cycled half way around the lake, stopping at the beach and at Sanshiro restaurant for chilled soba and vegetable tempura!! So tasty. The homestay is just stunning, with the most incredible views of Mount Bandai. I was very lucky with the weather and had three days of sun. There are fridges in the dorms so you can keep your own food and they were happy to help me heat it up. The showers are so powerful and the facilities very clean! I had a very comfortable stay here, getting very good nights sleep in the comfortable beds and peaceful atmosphere. There are many games to play too to keep you occupied in the evening with the other guests. I actually can’t fault this lovely guest house- one I will always remember.

Situated within 2.2 km of Morioka Station and 100 metres of House of Morioka Town, Tototo Morioka features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Morioka. The atmosphere was so good. Pretty, traditional house. A bit far from the city centre, but i do like walking. Overall was good

Warm and sweet hosts, we felt so welcomed and enjoyed chatting with them. The first floor tatami room was very comfy and cozy. We enjoyed the happy hour as well, and the delicious breakfast was thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommend staying here!

Uchi is situated in Matsushima, 200 metres from Zuigan-ji Temple. Guests can enjoy listening to music or watching TV in the common area. You will find a shared lounge at the property. The host speaks good English and is very nice and helpful and open to just chatting. The location was great with easy access by foot to two train stations and just a minute up from the main street and the shoreline and just a few minutes walk from the plenty of things worth exploring.

Guesthouse Mintaro Hut provides basic rooms, free use of a kitchen and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Free-use laundry facilities are available. Really, really lovely staff and owner. Lovely cat on site 🐱 Good locations, comfortable rooms, nice and warm, and you can open window too. The owner Hideo san is THE BEST COOK! Great meals every night for a donation. Breakfast is help yourself. Good music and great relaxed vibe. Everyone is relaxed here. We would love to come back. ❤

Guest House Umebachi offers dormitory-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Guests can rent bicycles to tour the area and relax at the outdoor terrace. The people that run this place are the nicest. I had a great time staying there and I would have stayed longer if everything wasn't booked because of tanabata
