The host was very kind and generous and I left with a big smile! I wished I could stay longer!

This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

Set in Soma and only 49 km from Zuihoden, ゲストハウス アンブレラ offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The house is cozy and the location pretty, with a lovely view over rice paddies. The highlight, however, were the hosts. Rarely have I been in an accommodation in which I felt so welcomed and received such special treatment. We shared food, drinks and interesting conversations together! They also have a farm and vegetable shop nearby, so we enjoyed their delicious produce, including organic eggs. This is a countryside stay, recommended for those who want to a true local experience.

Külalistemaja Oyado Iizaka asub Fukushimas, 35 km kaugusel Nihonmatsu jaamast ja 10 km kaugusel Fukushima jaamast. Tubades on konditsioneer ja ühine vannituba. The couple running the place are really kind, they treated me like family. We ate together, chatted together, they told me all the best onsen and restaurants around the house. They were so kind, it’s hard to describe. The house was cleaned and functional and there are a lot of onsen and restaurants at a walking distance from there. I stayed one more day just to be around those people more. Thank you, Taku and Midori for a nice stay.

The accommodation (we chose the amazing family room) has been beautifully restored, the private onsen with incredible alkaline waters was fantastic after a long day of walking and driving. The area is indescribably peaceful, a beautiful rural hideaway to be at peace with the world. The river and shrine nearby were spectacular. We would strongly recommend both dinner and breakfast - Maki is an amazing chef using fresh local ingredients and tailoring the menu to our needs. Perhaps the best aspect was our hosts, who made us feel completely at home. Our only regret was not staying longer - we’ll be returning!

The facility was really up to date and the bed was comfortable as well. The staff was made of some of the best people I've met in Japan, they spoke English very well and they were really welcoming and fun to talk to. The position wasn't bad either.

We got a nice room with lots of space. Our host, Asa, was very attentive and accomodating to us. The kitchen and other facilities were clean and organized.
