A recently renovated property, Olivae Hostal Boutique is located in Cáceres near San Juan Church, Santa María Church-Procathedral and Plaza Mayor Caceres. Room and building were recently refurbished. Tastefully furnished and comfortable. Electrical kettle was a bonus. Could do with another suitcase rack. Room was spacious. Very close to old city walls and best preserved old city we have seen so far in Europe. Unfortunately only one night here, more to see but not enough time. Building has a lift.

Featuring a shared lounge and views of mountain, ANJ Alojamientos is a recently renovated guest house located in Guadalupe, 100 metres from Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe. Incredibly convenient location. The room was brand new and spotlessly clean. Everything we could have needed was on hand. The supply of coffee pods and breakfast snacks was a real bonus. One of my nerdy favourite features was the ability to unlock my room using my phone.

It is an old converted convent and had been decorated in a style suitable to its inheritance but provides all modern comforts. The room had air conditioning, a TV, bathroom with toiletries, bath with shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurant provides a huge selection of meals to suit all tastes and everything is cooked to order. The Pork Loin was delicious and came with fresh local produce
