A great place to stop en route. Dave is a great host and the huge pizzas were delicious. The room was comfortable for four people and the shower worked well.

I recently found myself at the halfway point of my journey and opted to stay at the charming 3 Darling Guesthouse. The accommodation was impeccably clean, and the hosts were wonderfully warm and welcoming.

A very short detour off the N1. As we arrived after dark - we had a hot meal and a lovely fireplace waiting for us in the dining room . Warm electric blankets for the cold Karoo nights. Breakfast was also available for us the following morning . A great host (Hanna) was in communication with us at all times . A really great stay !

It’s very quaint and a good amount of detail put into the decor. The staff are excellent hosts. Food was good even if expensive.

A comfortable, friendly guesthouse to stay at. Pizzas are amazing. Easy to find. Hosts are amazing and helpful. Near to a lovely church, which you can walk to if you arrive before sunset. Would recommend for a place to stay on your way to or from Cape Town as it is exactly halfway to Johannesburg.

Boutique Guesthouse Hanover was our overnight stop-over on our long road trip from Johannesburg on our way to Cape Town for our December holiday. What a pleasure it was to arrive at this most beautiful gem of a small hotel in the town of Hanover. We were welcomed with open arms (even though we arrived later than anticipated) and enjoyed the most delicious dinner, followed by the best night's sleep. What a treat. I would highly recommend Boutique Guesthouse Hanover - the staff, the decor, the food, the rooms, the cleanliness. It was a joy!

We had a traditional Karoo dinner, which was divine! Lamb shank and all the dressings! With a delicious chocolate fondant to tie it all together. The Boutique Guesthouse finds a way to be quaint, quiet and lush in an otherwise dilapidated town. A very good spot for an N1 stopover.
