Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness.

The included breakfast was incredible! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. The room is full of character, aesthetically pleasing and very thoughtfully arranged. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We would definitely visit again.

    A lovely hostel with everything you need. Great location although the last part of road was a bit rough. Good value and paying the extra for breakfast well worth the tenner. Staff were friendly and the beer on the bar was cracking. We had an evening meal which was lovely and very welcome on a wet cold evening. Shower facilities lovely and the whole hostel was kept clean. My friend and I had a room to ourselves. Will definitely be returning

    The hostel is situated in an old building near an old mine in a beautiful location with many picturesque walks nearby. The staff are friendly and hospitable while the hostel itself is very clean. The facilities (dining room, showers, kitchen, toilets etc.) are enough for everyone and it does not get crowded. It is quiet and peaceful and the beds are comfortable.

    Very comfortable hostel with a lovely cosy lounge area with lots of books and games. Great location in Patterdale. Very impressed with staff, especially Spanish man called Danny.

    Perfect location for the race we were running and to go up Helvellyn. Nice and quiet location. Lovely little patio area with table and chairs at the rear of the property, perfect in the sun. Fantastic hosts, really friendly
