Slotetts Anneks is NOT the big scary looking building at the main address, it is a one story yellow lodge next door. Everything is clean, reasonably comfortable beds, water kettle and reading lamps in the rooms. Key issue is by code, no staff on site. As others noted, nice enough for a night's sleep. Walking distance to the ferries, bus to airport stops at nearby hospital.

We especially recommend the typical round churches one of which is quite close to Yggdrasil. Friendly hosts and well equipped kitchen. Peaceful and quiet right outside Gudhjem. Sheep, chickens and beautiful rosegarden on the property. Beautiful view of the coastline and the sea from the bedroom window in apt # 2. Apartment # 2 has two bedrooms upstairs accessed with a fairly steep staircase and a sleeper sofa downstairs. The bathroom is also downstairs so if you are elderly or slightly disabled the stairs could be a challenge.
