We stayed there on a week day and with the lack of dining choices in the village we ate in the Gasthof. And what a great choice it was! Everything we ordered was delicious, freshly cooked, nicely served and moderately priced. The room was basic but clean, warm and had everything needed. The owners were caring and attentive and lovely. We were very happy staying in this Gasthof.

We stayed for one night on our trip from Berlin to Austria. We were not aware of the beautiful mountain and forest area that was awaiting us. Heide Machold's place is a nice family guest house with simple but comfortable rooms and VERY good beds. Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant (which is very well patronised also by local people). In the morning, the host gave us some hints for a short hiking tour of the most amazing rock formations and a terrific view over the entire region. It's a place really worthwhile visiting. And one should bring some more time to explore the region ...
