Boasting an infinity pool and views of pool, Sasi Africa Luxury Tented Bush Lodge is a recently renovated luxury tent set in Bergville, 34 km from Kaalvoet Vrou Statue. What a great stay! A beautiful setting surrounded by bush and trees. A big thank you to all the most friendly persons who work there and who make the stay more memorable.

It was tranquil & safe away from the hustle & bustle. Exactly what we needed. Carissa was a pleasure to deal with. A special shout out to Nonnie & her team from the kitchen for graciously catering to my diet requirements. I totally appreciated it. A blissful weekend away.

This luxurious tent features a hot tub, a sauna and a fireplace. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware in the fully equipped kitchen. Everything about the property was just great. The scenery was soul soothing and the actual property, staff and facilities were exceptional. The location is a 17 minute beautiful and scenic drive to town to get things you might need. The people are kind, accommodating and heartwarming. I will definitely be going back next year.

Our stay at Mackaya Bella was sensational. Our family of five had the whole lodge to ourselves as we booked out three huts making the experience feel luxurious and intimate. Patrick and Lynn were the sweetest hosts who catered to our every need. Patrick was kind enough to act as a tour guide going above and beyond to walk us to the phenomenal Bushman cave paintings and stunning freshwater pool along the river. This hike was located on their property so there was no need to drive all the way out to see the nature (although leaving the property to explore was not a problem either). They also allowed us to spend time with their beautiful dogs Bella and Little Bear which helped us with the separation from our own beloved pets. We felt very safe. The nature reserve around the lodge was stunning. At your doorstep is a view of the Drakensberg mountains and surrounding wildlife - the perfect backdrop. Plenty of wild animals roam the property and you can see the trails they leave behind. Right near the lodge is a small waterfall that flows almost all year round. The water in this area is as pure as pure can be. Our rooms were very cosy and comfortable. There were very little mosquitoes when we were there considering the fresh water was constantly flowing on the property. There was a fireplace inside the main lodge as well as outside with the mountain views that allowed us to enjoy each space in the evening (even with loadshedding). Lynn and Patrick accommodated our dietary requests (vegetarian and vegan) giving us wonderful breakfast options where other places would be lacking. We visited Champaigne Castle Hotel out of curiosity. Albeit very nice, we were extremely happy that we chose Mackaya Bella instead. We felt so at home at this wonderful lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit the Drakensberg area. We hope that Patrick and Lynn will see many more guests this year as they could not be more deserving.

Boasting a patio with garden views, a private beach area and an outdoor swimming pool, Kingfisher Lakeside Retreat can be found in Trafalgar, close to Trafalgar Beach and 1.6 km from Palm Beach. It was a great breakaway for me and my son. If ever you feel like a 'Robinson Crusoe' vibe then this place will tick all the boxes. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the stream and the ability to cook outside. We also enjoyed the proximity to the sea and one has the whole length of the coast to explore at leisure. Best of all, and this was quite a surprise for me, was the internet connectivity. I would have loved to have spent a few days working from there with connectivity like that. We were warned about the noisy frogs, but we loved this symphony at night. Actually as we now live in the Netherlands looking for natural sounds to stream is the closest we can get to the real thing. So, definitely best experienced for real!

This tent features a balcony, stovetop and barbecue. Luxury Tented Village @ Urban Glamping offers luxury tented accommodation in St Lucia. What a fantastic property with tents nestled under several huge trees which merge together forming a canopy. We felt peaceful and relaxed whether sitting outside our tent or around the pool. The tent is luxurous, the parking area is safe and the location of the property on the street is just perfect.

Known as Thanda Tented Camp, this camp is built in colonial-safari style. Each spacious tent comes with a private sun deck and en-suite canvas bathroom. We were here for only 29 hours but it was such a memorable experience. Our guides for the evening and morning safari, Martin and Lucky, were very knowledgeable and we had a great experience. The food at the rented camp was amazing
