The cottage was exceptionally clean and stocked with more than enough amenities one might need for a relaxing retreat. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary tools and more, ensuring a fantastic and clean rural experience. The living room was superb—cozy, clean, warm, filled with a genuine rustic atmosphere. Additionally, the cottage was packed with books and maps for anyone's use. It also had a large box of games to enjoy during free time. The cottage featured a TV with internet access, which my children thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The surrounding rural landscapes were stunning and beautiful. Moreover, the cottage provided extremely comfortable beds for a great night's sleep, which my family appreciated immensely. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with towels, tissues, soap, and the water was very warm. There was also an outdoor room with barbecue tools, laundry facilities, and some sports equipment, which my children enjoyed playing with. In summary, this cottage is perfect for anyone seeking a relaxing, clean, and high-quality retreat, rivaling hotel standards. The owners were incredibly kind, respectful, cooperative, and helpful. This won't be my last visit to the Scottish borders, and I will definitely stay at this cottage again. After seeing my Snapchat photos, all my friends and family were amazed by its beautiful design and comprehensive amenities, asking for its location. If you want to enjoy a rural getaway, I confidently recommend this cottage. Thank you.

The building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, the dining area was bright and open, the food was excellent and all the staff were 1st class.

The welcoming Wheatsheaf provides peaceful accommodation and award-winning food. It is located near Berwick-upon-Tweed, Coldstream, Duns and Kelso. Very personable and friendly team. Long distance drive meant that I would be arriving late. Not a problem for the Wheatsheaf Inn, I received a phone call half-way through my journey to see how I was getting on. Rooms very clean, I had a great night sleep, bed was very comfy. The breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choices outside of your standard cooked breakfast.

This beautiful country house hotel from 1861, set in 28 acres of wonderful gardens and 4 Gold Stars (Visit Scotland) for affordable luxury 30 km from Edinburgh. It is a fabulous old hotel that has a warm and welcoming interior and beautiful grounds. There were snowdrops everywhere! The staff are all very friendly and caring. We had booked the suite and it was amazing. The food is superb. Dinner is a tasting menu of 7 courses every night and each course was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters with their white gloves were a lovely touch too! The hotel is very close to Peebles and there are plenty lovely walks in the area. The Tapestry of Scotland is a short drive away in Galashiels and well worth a visit.

It's a very nice location which covered all our needs. Two big and nice bedrooms - the children especially loved to sleep in the bed under the roof windows :-) Big bath room with nice shower. The kitchen with enough of everything we needed. Nice and big table. And a very nice living room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this location. We also appreciated the detailed 'manual' explaining everything in the flat.
