By definition it’s an old neighbourhood, a bit run down, but that’s the charm: it’s noisy, authentic and we felt safe. The hotel is an old French building, 100+ yrs old, fully renovated with the most helpful staff we met in Algeria: need to call abroad, get a doctor, a printout or a taxi - it gets done! There is parking in front of the hotel though we preferred a car park ca 100m away

The location inside Algiers' old town, Casbah, unbeatable. It is possible to walk to many important sights in Algiers and if not, then staff at the reception is ordering taxis for you and even arranging tourist guides with affordable prices. Room was clean, there is hot water in shower and the view to the streets of Casbah was very nice. The hotel is recently renovated.
