Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. Lovely building great mix of traditional and modern, very tastefully done. Facilities were great and staff very helpful. Would recommend as great value.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful B&B with one of the greatest views. The B&B is very tastefully designed and furnished, everything you could wish for is being provided. The hosts are super friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is made with love and very tasteful (joghurt, bread, pancakes, waffles fesh fruit, fresh orange juice, good coffee, etc.). The pool area is especially beatiful and calm.

46 km from Douro Museum, Quinta da Ribeirinha - Douro River is a recently renovated property situated in Paços de Gaiolo and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. I went with my family to the villa and we had a very pleasant time, the space was well equipped, clean and very nice, the views and outdoor were amazing as well. Communication with the team in charge was excellent. I recommend it 100%
