Located just 200 metres from Portalegre Townhall, Solar das Avencas features accommodation in Portalegre with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The stay was wonderful and a true experience. The house is full of things to discover, the hosts were absolutely brilliant, our room was huge and super clean. And the breakfast is very impressive, a food tour through regional products and cakes. So much attention to detail, absolutely recommended.

Casa da Urra, a property with free bikes and a tennis court, is set in Urra, 11 km from Portalegre Cathedral, 11 km from Portalegre Castle, as well as 11 km from Calvario Chapel. This has to be the best place we have stayed in our whole trip. We were greeted and treated with unmatched hospitality by Elio throughout our stay. Every morning he personally delivered fresh bread and cakes from local pastelaria to the door in addition to the already fully stocked fridge with water, juices, yogurt, ham and cheese, jams, fresh fruits and other breakfast items. We were also given tours of the impressive collections of many beautiful and interesting historic artifacts from different regions of Portugal. We were also super impressed with the beautiful environment surrounded by peaceful and quiet ranch with cows and sheep and vineyard. On top of all these, the size of the apartment, the views from the back porch, the decorations, the furniture and the comfort of the rooms are all top notch. This is a truly unassuming place to unwind and bring the family to enjoy.
