Extremelly peaceful place with lots of space and time to relax. Derby the dog is very friendly with kids. The lake is clean almost like a swimming pool.

Aromas dos Salgueiros, a property with a garden, is located in Castelo de Vide, 9.3 km from Roman City of Ammaia, 11 km from Marvao Castle, as well as 21 km from Portalegre Townhall. A very bright and clean suite. The owners of the property were really angels!!!. They made great efforts for us to be satisfied. Breakfast was exceptional. They prapare everything by themselves. So sorry we only stayed one night. I highly recommend coming to this place. Sorry I can't give a score higher than 10.

Located just 200 metres from Portalegre Townhall, Solar das Avencas features accommodation in Portalegre with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Homemade cakes and splendid breakfast served by a dedicated young man whose parents live upstairs. We had the run of the house and what a home full of treasures from the the Colonial period.

This has to be the best place we have stayed in our whole trip. We were greeted and treated with unmatched hospitality by Elio throughout our stay. Every morning he personally delivered fresh bread and cakes from local pastelaria to the door in addition to the already fully stocked fridge with water, juices, yogurt, ham and cheese, jams, fresh fruits and other breakfast items. We were also given tours of the impressive collections of many beautiful and interesting historic artifacts from different regions of Portugal. We were also super impressed with the beautiful environment surrounded by peaceful and quiet ranch with cows and sheep and vineyard. On top of all these, the size of the apartment, the views from the back porch, the decorations, the furniture and the comfort of the rooms are all top notch. This is a truly unassuming place to unwind and bring the family to enjoy.

Set in Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, Quinta das Lavandas enjoys scenic views of the 1,4 acre lavender and lavandin grosso field that blooms during the first 15 days of July. We loved this guesthouse. The hosts were amazing and gave some advices of what to do in the area. The pool was also beautiful, as well as the huge garden and we absolutely loved the breakfast.
