The best hostess I've ever met, Christelle was super friendly and made sure we are happy. She even upgraded us to 2 rooms even though we paid for one. I also liked the full DSTV channels.

The area was very peaceful and quiet, with lots of roaming animals around the house. The swimming pool was great and very convenient in the hot African sun! The host was super friendly and the directions from the main gate to the lodge was very easy to follow! We visited the Predator Park and it was super interesting and amazing to watch the lions, tigers, cheetahs, wild dogs and other cat species, up closely!! The perfect location with everything you need, all in one!! I can only say: Thank You. The memories I take with me, I will treasure for ever!

Set within 19 km of Madikela Private Game Reserve in Vaalwater, Summerplace Game Reserve provides accommodation with seating area. I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.
