The room was tiny (so I fudged the trick question in the survey about the room size!!) but that is part of the charm and the beds are high so plenty of room for bags beneath. There is no fridge or TV - perfect - this is not a chain, it is the most beautiful historic building and we loved that we can stay and be part of the experience. Everywhere you look is nostalgia from the old radio playing vintage music. And then there is the breakfast, amazing and lots of outdoor seating on the veranda or in the secluded garden. The staff were the icing on the cake - if you have stuff to refrigerate they will happily do that for you.

It was nice to sit and relax for happy hour with drinks and appetizers. The location was great and nice clean room. The breakfast was really good in the morning. The only thing was our room key got deactivated because my husband put it in his pocket with his phone. Don’t put it anywhere your phone. Will definitely stay again.

The family-friendly restaurant at Julian Cafe Cottages With Breakfast At The Julian Cafe serves American cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch. The Julian Cafe cottage was absolutely breathtaking! The cottage was beautifully decorated and had all the necessities we needed. The board games were a big hit for our little family. Really made us feel right at home. Being a mile away from downtown Julian was a plus.
