The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. After completing the check-in process, they personally escorted us to the villa and explained how to use the in-room facilities. What I loved most was that each villa comes with its own private rooftop terrace, where you can comfortably enjoy meals while admiring the stunning view of Mount Fuji. Dinner options are available here at a reasonable price, and you can even enjoy the meal in your room. The villa also has basic kitchenware, so preparing a simple meal yourself is definitely possible.

Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. View, cleanliness, and staff was super nice. Kitchen and food were delicious.

Right on the shore of the scenic Kawaguchiko Lake, Hotel New Century boasts spacious Japanese-style rooms overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind, offered great suggestions and were always there to help us. We enjoyed the Japanese room and the view of the lake and Mt. Fuji, in particular, we loved the chair setting by the window. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious (and different every day). There's a shuttle service that we used after check-out to get to the train station and they lend us umbrellas when the rain was coming.

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Everything! The private onsen, the meal in the room, everything was perfect

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. The food was great, each meal was made up of various dishes, typically japanese. The view of the lake and mount fuji from the room and the public bath was breathtaking. The staff was very kind and helpful. They can pick you up from the station and drop you off too. The room was clean and quite large, more than enough for a couple.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. Everything. Best accommodation I have been in my travel's life so far.

Situated in Fujikawaguchiko, 八-Hachi- Accommodation has free bikes, garden, shared lounge, and free WiFi throughout the property. A new family-run hostel which was very comfortable, clean and well-furnished. The beds were big and had enough privacy (I liked the tatami style used even in the dorm rooms). Staff were very friendly and accomodating (shoutout to Yudai-san for being such a big help, and the kids for being so polite and cute). Great that they had free bicycles to borrow, especially useful within the beautiful Kawaguchiko area. Free coffee and tea was a bonus. Lounge provides a good place to meet so many other different travellers.
