Fantastic rural India experience in a resort facility. Super food! Fresh and served hot! Rooms are beautifully designed with traditional Indian rural architecture. We enjoyed all the activities- games, pump set experience, field walk, milking the cows and more. A must visit if you are on holiday to Chennai!

This family-run estate spread across 20-acres offers accommodation in Masinagudi at the foothills of the Nilgiris. Everything was perfect. I decided to go here after reading all the amazing reviews about this place, vibe, hospitality and food. And it did not disappoint :) The deers are everywhere!! We opted to go for the bird watching activity and the guide was extremely well versed with all the birds. They also have freshly made jams and pickles for sale. I love the fact that this place felt so homely and they employ the local folk from the nearby village. If you're lucky, you might end up spotting elephants or bears.

The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The room is extremely clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The place is so peaceful and relaxing and the view from the terrace is lovely. The tour with guide Daniel was really amazing. I learnt so much about the forest. He can really help you understand how nature works in this area. So much more than spotting animals. Manu helped me organize so many things to make our trip work out well. If you watch the film Elephant Whisperer you will see what this area is all about. Despite not having a car to get there or away we still had a great time with help and introductions from Manu. Thank you and all the staff at Labdhi for a wonderful few days.
