The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. As soon as I arrived I felt relaxed and peaceful. It's a great location on the edge of Kaziranga national park and within walking distance of a friendly local village. Easy access to town via shared taxis frequently passing by the main road - but set back so I didn't hear any traffic noise. The early morning birdsong was delightful. The food was fresh and delicious, the rooms clean and spacious, and it was the most comfortable mattress I've slept on in India - great value for money! As a solo traveller I felt safe and comfortable. I went on a jeep safari and saw a tiger!! I'd highly recommend staying at Kodom Bari Retreat.
