After doing a lot of hotel breaks we decided on a self catering cottage. An Bothan cottage sounded ideal for what we were looking for - it didn't disappoint!! A gorgeous quaint wee cottage that had modern bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Catriona the owner had even left us freshly baked wheaten bread and marmalade which was a lovely treat. We adored staying here and will definitely be returning soon.

I couldn’t say enough good things about this accommodation. it is spotlessly clean, with beautiful room and large bathroom. The host was so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was exceptional, with a huge range on offer - never had such a variety of foods in a B&B before. The location of the property is perfect for access into Drogheda and is so easy to get to. The next time I’m back in Drogheda, I will definitely stay here.

I couldn't recommend a better place to stay while visiting Carlingford it's walking distance to the town,bars and restaurants, it's located across from the pier so the scenery is amazing. Will definitely stay again.

The site was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Our host made a great breakfast for us and even sat and ate with us, filling us in on a lot of the local lore and color. We stayed here to be close to the Bru na Boine passage tombs, which were amazing, but staying here was amazing too. Big property, not far from Dublin. Great hosts! Like home - you take your shoes off before you go upstairs to your room.

The setting was stunning with Slieve Foy and the Morne Mountains and the Carlingford Lough all just steps away. Everywhere we turned there was something beautiful to see. The hostess Jackie was so kind and helpful. t the whole stay was simply a delight!

The building has really good and strong bones. knock bridge has a number of historic plus sea, where CuChullain finally met his death in An Tain Bo Cualigne (I not sure of the spelling)

The Retreat is located centrally in the Medieval village of Carlingford 400 meters to the coast, it is 12 minutes drive to the local beach. There is free parking available. We loved the location. Very comfortable with lots of extras.

He is so accommodating and helpful and just fun to chat to about the local scene. Breakfast is second to none and you can choose a full Irish breakfast with your favorite ingredients or something lighter if you prefer. It’s a peaceful spot with beautiful scenic backdrops. House is perfect. Our room was huge and comfy.

Located at the foot of the Cooley Mountains, Riverside Lodge offers free on-site parking and is just 10 minutes’ drive from the medieval town of Carlingford. Loved the quiet location off the beaten track. Although small, the room had everything my family of 3 needed. Hostess always replied quickly when I emailed her a question.
