One of the best guesthouses I have ever stayed in - do yourself a favour and book this guesthouse! After a tiring long day of travel to BL I was welcomed with a refreshing complimentary drink, upgrade to my room and ordered the best Gado Gado I have ever had for dinner. The room was beautiful, clean, large and the bed was super comfortable. A highlight of the property is the beautiful scenery and serenity - situated in a quiet, peaceful area overlooking rice paddies, palm trees, mountains and if you’re lucky a volcano can be spotted in the distance on a clear day. The family who own & run this guesthouse are beautiful - made me feel completely at home, helped with anything I needed and we had some great chats overlooking the beautiful rice paddies each night. The owners shared stories of the area and broader Sumatra helping me plan my onward travel, I loved cuddling with their sweet dog Padi and playing with their little boy Osaka. The other staff were also so sweet and helpful. Even though it is a little further from the main area/where I was starting my hike, they dropped me off and picked me up, and have everything on site (food, drinks, shops nearby etc) so not an issue at all. And I much preferred because in this less touristy area that has a real local, authentic feel. I extended my stay one night after my hike and if I had time, would have stayed even longer. Will definitely be back here in the future.

Brian is amazing, he basically organized my entire trip around the area including a four day jungle trek, a ride to and from the elephant sanctuary, and shuttles around the city. The guides during our jungle trek were great, Rosit was clearly a very experienced guide and he made the trip very entertaining to say the least. Everyone else in the crew were great and very attentive and helpful.

Nastanitev Sumatra Orangutan Discovery Villa je v mestu Bukit Lawang in ponuja vrt. Gostišče nudi teraso in razgled na gore, privoščite pa si lahko tudi obrok v restavraciji ali pijačo v baru. The restaurant inside the lodge was very good, the food was super tasty. Good location for starting a orangutan trekking!

Nastanitev Santi Garden Bungalows je v mestu Iboih, 2 min hoje od znamenitosti Plaža Pantai Iboih, in nudi vrt, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, zasebno plažo ter teraso. Všeč so nam bili krasni leseni bungalovi v čudovitem tropskem vrtu. Santi in njen brat Robi sta bila super prijazna in nam pomagala z nasveti in rezervacijami/organizacijo tako na otoku kot na celini. Bungalovi so nekaj minut hoje oddaljeni od vasi Ipoih, kjer so restavracije in trgovine, v neposredni bližini bungalovov pa je dobra restavracija z vso postrežbo. Super in priporočamo.

Nastanitev SeaGate Bungalows se nahaja v mestu Sabang in ponuja vrt, zasebno plažo ter teraso, na voljo pa je tudi brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi. - Watching the magnificent view of your private bay from the hammock. - Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. - The bungalow having hotel like luxuries like a mini fridge, your own drink water tank and coffee and tea supplies. - The roofless shower. But most of all: The delightful hosts who will do anything in their power to make you feel as comfortable as possible and deliver the services that you may want or need. They are genuinely good people who really care about you, the community and also the environment. Tips: - Go have dinner with them at least once. Yuyun is a really good cook. And there is a future restaurant in the making! - Ask Borja for tips what to do around the island and where to get the best coffee. - Rent a scooter from the hosts to see the island. They are safe, well-maintained and helmets available. - Rent snorkel equipment from the hosts. (One of) the most beautiful snorkeling spot(s) is right in front of you. - If you want to go diving, make sure to enquire about it with Borja and Yuyun as they are both divemasters.

Nastanitev Orangutan Bungalow je v mestu Bukit Lawang in nudi brezplačen WiFi, vrt s teraso ter pogled na gore. Everything! Staff is very nice and helpful. Property is clean. just outside of bungalow we some Thomas Leaf Monkey and in the evening even Orangutan! Very nice stay, good value for money, food is good, view is wonderful 10/10

Nastanitev Sahnan Guest House je v mestu Bukit Lawang in ponuja vrt, teraso ter restavracijo. We highly recommend the place ! Andri was very kind and helpful. He arranged transportation to/from Bukit Lawang. He also arranged a day trip to the jungle with our guide Jhony whom we recommend as well! The place is by the river and absolutely lovely.
