My partner and I stayed here for two nights, and would have liked to stay two weeks if we had the time. Tio is such a lovely host as is all the staff. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and help us out with anything we needed. The room was super clean and comfortable, the garden is so beautiful and lovely to relax in, the food is tasty, the coffee was so so good, and the museum and grounds in general are lovely to explore and spend time in. Highly highly recommend staying here if you are anywhere around lake Toba!

During the night, this place is so quiet that at one point I literally checked if I had ear plugs on (did not), it's crazy quiet 😀. The view from the room is INCREDIBLE, lake Toba in all it's magnificence! This is what you come for to this place, nature, peace, relax. We will come back for sure.

Mario Lakeside Apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Tuk Tuk, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden. We felt in love with lake Toba and we were lucky to enjoy it even more at this place. If you are looking for a private, calm, chill place - yes this is it! The apartment is perfectly located in a green, hidden area in front of the lake. Every morning and evening we enjoyed beautiful views and were swimming in the lake just few steps from the apartment. Being for two months in Indonesia it was a first place with such a big space and different shells, tables, clothes hangers, tables etc The hot shower was very good. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a fridge and you can easily cook your own meals. The vegetarian/vegan restaurant that Ali has was very good too. We enjoyed delicious guacamole with sourdough bread and avocado juice. There is a big avocado tree in the garden according to one local woman Ali’s avocados are best on the island :) Ali is friendly and very helpful. We extended our stay twice :) Would love to come back !

A recently renovated guest house set in Tuk Tuk, Hub Tata Guesthouse features a garden. The property features lake views. In good weather, guests are welcome to sit outside. What a great sanctuary of a place and wonderful people! Nia, the Manager did all she could to welcome us and even stayed up late when we had unavoidable delays making us arrive well past check in. But the whole team are fantastic being attentive and responsive to our needs and requests with smiles at the ready. The inclusion of your choice of breakfast is fantastic and it was the nicest breakfast and cleanest accommodation we had in our month on Sumatra We stayed for 5 nights but would have happily stayed longer. We had to move one night as they were full and stayed at Carolina Cottages but couldn’t wait to get back to a much more welcoming and flexible vibe at Hub Tata If you want peaceful lakeside spot and a lovely vibe with helpful good people and a delicious breakfast this is your place! Situated in Tuk Tuk in the Sumatra region, Leokap Homestay has a balcony and lake views. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. The place was clean, with a beautiful garden, the owner super nice, the location perfect to visit the area. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come back there!
