Offering city views, Apartamentos Suites Roma is an accommodation set in Merida, 500 metres from Moorish Alcazaba and less than 1 km from Roman Theatre & Amphitheatre. We had four (4) apartments in the building and all of them were very nice. They had all been recently renovated and each room was very well appointed. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for all of the guests. We also had parking in a private garage, which made parking very convenient and safe.

Located within 500 metres of Moorish Alcazaba and 500 metres of Merida Train Station, Apartamentos Harmonia provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Merida. My room was really clean and even though I only stayed one night it had all the necessities like pots, silverware and even a coffee machine to stay for an indefinite time. The location was also great as it was very close to the museum (must see). With all the pluses of the room the service was even better. Noelia approved my request to check in early (4 hours)! So I can get situated and see Mérida and she made sure I understood how to enter and leave the building!

Boasting a terrace, bar and views of city, Hotel Gran Sol De Extremadura is situated in Montijo, 42 km from El Corte Ingles. The hotel is pretty new, the rooms are well prepared and the bathroom is really clean and practical. The location is perfect, 20 min drive to Merida and 30 min to Badajoz. There is plenty room to park the car.

Casa Ruy Lopez is located in the centre of Zafra and next to its main square. It has a restaurant, free WiFi and a terrace. Each room at Casa Ruy Lopez has attractive traditional décor. Casa Ruy López was in a very convenient location near to the historic town centre. The room was very attractive and the staff super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Great value for money!

NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. My wife and I stayed for one night at the NH Gran on our way from Spain to Portugal and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was of a very generous size and was well fitted out. The cleanliness of this hotel was exceptional. It smelt and was clean. Staff were very friendly with reception staff a standout in taking a little time to explain the sights of the city and to mark a few things on a map for us. It was very much appreciated. Lovely stay and recommneded.
