Horquetas River Lodge features river views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Sarapiquí. The property has garden and quiet street views. The location is superb. You are surrounded by nature. You will likely see and hear the howling monkeys and some nice birds. Also, it is great that you can prepare food on a wood-fired barbecue so make sure to bring some meat. There is also a place where you can make a bonfire in the evening. Throughout the day you have a river for yourself with refreshing water in which you can swim. The hosts were a very friendly couple and made nice breakfast at anytime. If you do not speak Spanish it is no problem, because Google translate can be used. The rooms and bathrooms itself are very clean and up-to-date with new equipment (e.g. Airco, Rain-shower) I would highly recommend to stay here as it is a unique experience in Costa Rica. It is recommended to bring some cash in advance for the payment, because the ATM in the village nearby did not worked for me.

With mountain views, Hortensias Chalets Vara blanca is set in Heredia and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. Brother and sister run place very warm, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast excellent and can have whatever you want. Lovely setting-quiet, and nice view.

Featuring a garden, Eco Guest House - Sarapiquí 1 is situated in Sarapiquí, within 35 km of La Paz Waterfall Gardens and 38 km of Catarata Tesoro Escondido. Our experience was wonderful, we were sorry that we couldn't stay longer. The house is very comfortable, clean, calm, and the view is incredible. Wendy was an great host, she immediately made us feel welcome, and pointed us to good activities nearby. I would definitely recommend staying here and would go back without hesitation.

Featuring mountain views, Villa Calas in Vara Blanca features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We stayed here two nights, and we loved it! The cottages are as cute as in the pictures, and very clean. It was a bit cold when we were there, so we had the chance of lighting a fire in the fireplace of the room (wood and stuffs to light a fire is provided in the room), which made the evenings extra special. The staff is very welcoming, and the restaurant very good. All in all, a delightful stay!

Featuring mountain views, Eco Guest House- Sarapiquí 2 provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 33 km from La Paz Waterfall. Middle of the rainforest sits their cute little wood cabin. There is not glass only mesh windows which is nice but a bit loud in the night with animals and rain. The washroom is clean with warm water shower that requires a bit of tinkering to get. Wendy and her family was so nice to us even though we only stayed a day. The location is near the Tirimbina reserve so we stayed here for the night walk. Cute dog too! Hummingbirds were right outside the cabin feasting on flowers.

Remote location was amazing with beautiful views and waterfall on property just a short hike away. Very quiet and secluded area. Nixon was our service specialist who brought us our meals to eat on the balcony and assisted with anything we needed. Very personal service

I t was a lovely place, with a nice view and peaceful and quite. My family enjoyed it and the staff was great and went above and behind service and even drove me to town one day as a favor

Amazing peaceful place to stay less than 10 minutes from the hubbub of heredia, less than 25 minutes to airport - Incredibly friendly and welcoming family. I will stay no other place on my return trips to San Jose
