A rural idyll. Quinta de Anterronde was a welcome, quiet break amidst a hectic travelling schedule. Patricia didn't speak English but had a helpful information and communication sheet ready and waiting, and Google Translate and hand gestures did the rest. We had an efficient check in, and were given everything we needed to know. We were in the separate annex in the garden, with shared kitchen and lounge facilities. The room was thoughtfully decorated and the beds comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The external areas of this Quinta are beautiful and most enjoyable to wander around. Breakfast was extensive with excellent choices.

It was absolutely a nice experience: besides a spacious room with a on-suite bathroom and with a balcony, it also included a (shared) fully equipped kitchen and a living room. We were allowed to park the car on the property because we had 2 bikes attached. Surprisingly, breakfast was also included, the first morning served at the property, the second morning at the owner’s pizza restaurant in town. The host was really a sweet man, only spoke Portuguese but managed to communicate with the help of google translate. This was absolutely value for money!

The place was not only very comfortable, it was also very pretty and cozy. We got some rainy weather during our stay but the rental was so nice and cozy we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. It highly exceeded our expectations. The Village guest house was very well equipped, and had great facilities including a great kitchen and bathroom. There was plenty of space for 2. Parking was very easy and the property was well located to walk down into town, and to drive to the local attractions. We enjoyed sitting in the garden too.
