Stayed here on the Salkantay trek. The rooms were clean and spacious, WiFi was good and showers were hot.
The food was the best we had along the trail. Loads of fresh vegetables from their garden (avocado, yam, plantain) as well as home grown coffee and also somehow the cheapest dinner too. We went for lunch at a burger place down the road and really regretted not just having all our meals at the lodge.
The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We interrupted their lunch when we arrived but they let us check in immediately and also organised a cab to take us to the hot springs (at a price cheaper than our friends got staying at other locations).
They gave us recommendations for lunch along the trail the next day and also helped us find a hostel in hydroelectrica.
They also had a super cute puppy called toby who entertained us.
Hospedaje Quillabamba enjoys a location in Santa Teresa, 6.3 miles from Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary and 6.3 miles from Manuel Chavez Ballon Museum.

Dina and Mario were super nice. They made us breakfast and gave us a tour to Cocalmayo Hot Springs and Vertikal Ziplining across the valley. It was epic! Super nice people. I am coming back for sure.

I loved how it feels like you are in a tree house, the room over looked the river and we could hear it as we went to sleep. It has some beautiful hang out areas as well.

This was a spectacular location to spend a night on the Salkantay Trek - the lodge is only reachable on foot or horseback. The dinner and breakfast provided with this reservation were both excellent and would have been worth paying for on their own. The view from this property itself is worth the reservation - absolutely spectacular if the the weather allows.

Quiet. Clean. Lovely garden area. Proximity to Citadel entrance. Excellent food. Attentive, responsive, friendly staff, without exception, starting from time of reservation and ending with luggage assistance at Aguas Calientes train station.

It’s set back up the mountain about 10-minutes once you reach Lucmabamba. The rooms are amazing, each with their own private toilet, the windows have insect netting on them so you can open them at night as well. The showers are clean and the water warm. We stayed in the two rooms upstairs, and had a deck with the most comfortable chairs, board/card games.
The best part of the stay are Mery and her family. They are exceptional hosts! When we arrived, clearly tired and physically exhausted from being I the trail, they immediately gave us cafe de leche, using the coffee the roast on site. Their coffee is 10/10 delicious!
For dinner, and breakfast, they made such amazing meals as well. When we left the next morning for the final leg of the Salkantay Trek, Mery gave each of us a banana and pack of Oreos for the climb up the mountain.
This was hands-down the absolute best Refugio we stayed in during our Peru trip!

Just perfect! The owner, his family and the staff are all so friendly and were helpful with information about the trail for the next day. Dinner was the best food of all the places we stayed on the trail, hands down. Comfy, spacious room, bed and bathroom.
Julio Cesar and his family are an absolutely lovely group of people who provided us with information about the local sites, great food and excellent accommodation. Our favorite hotel on the Salkantay Trek.
Alicia and her family are so welcoming and helped us with all of our needs. It took us a minute to find the location but when we arrived they were so kind and made sure we were okay and settled in.
Nice room, cozy and clean. Prettier than in the photo.
Good privacy (room from the quiet street).
Very friendly, nice and smiling family. Quiet household. The lady will advise, help. Is possible communicate with her in English.
Hospedaje has its own tuctuc.
Very good breakfast.
The setting is fantastic, grab a beer and watch the sky changing colours at sunset from the hotel's mirador, magic!
Staff was super helpful when the original room assigned didn't lock properly and they immediately changed us to a family room so a great upgrade!
