If you're looking for a charming and authentic hotel this is the right place for you. Traveling with a family of 4, I loved having our private bungalow room with a small terrace in the front overlooking the palm garden and pool. We especially appreciated the air conditioned room, with local temperatures at the 40 Celsius. The staff are very helpful, friendly and responsive. You will get welcomed warmly with bottles of water and sweet Moroccan tea. They can also arrange for excursions to the desert and other activities.

Set in the mountains, Maison Boutchrafine is a 12-minute drive from Erfoud and you can admire the panoramic views of the Erg Chebbi dunes from the terrace.

Riad Marhaba Merzane in Merzane provides accommodations with a garden, a bar, and a shared lounge.

Everything! This is truly the best experience of our trip. The place is magical and beautifully decorated. Away from everything and literally at the door of the desert. That's for the place. But what added to the magic of our stay was the true and warm welcome from Allessandra and Moha. While having your private area, you will be sharing their home. But, no worry, they made this so natural that you really feel at home or with friends. Just a note: you are in an isolated desert area. So you never know what weather you can expect. We had a lovely small sand storm, ... exciting experience for us 😉 One additional advice. If Moha can offer the 4×4 tour, take it. It's really an affordable and great experience where Moha, being local, can share a lot of great background information. Could share more, but in summary, unique/best experience. The experience was truly amazing, in particular bcs of our host Ibrahim. The camp is very charming and is at the beginning of the dunes. It was amazing that we didn't need 4x4 to reach it, like most camps. From the activities, we did SUV excursion in the local village and surrounding areas, as well as a quad ride through dunes for sunrise - all so magical and well worth it. Truly recommending the camp and very grateful to Ibrahim for everything. He really made our trip.
