Nice hotel with many nice spots to take photos and with good view of the ocean. We happened to be there where there are fireworks. Hotel has its own shop, good for some last minute buying. Staff were professional and friendly. They even provide senbei in the room, my daughters love it! Location near to pearl island, toba aquarium.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The service of the staff was excellent, especially employee Shizuki Funahara, who went out of her way to ensure my birthday treat was very special. Thank-you again. The onsen was very good, as was the view from hotel, and the food was also excellent and well presented.
Absolutely beautiful resort on the top of a hill. Amazing ocean views. Tons of stuff for kids like ping pong, games room, even karaoke. Be sure to sit on the open air patio for the ashi-no-yu foot bath. Nice yukatas to wear when you go to onsen. Excellent variety at breakfast buffet. We stayed here after visiting Ise Jingu
I actually didn't end up staying at Kaigetsu because of the water supply issue at the property. Kiku-san contacted me a few days before notifying me the problem and offered to rebook me at another nearby hotel or a refund. I took up the offer to have the stay at another hotel. I met her at her hotel and she walked me to the alternative property, and made sure that I was checked in and everything was OK before leaving. This was much appreciated.
great onsen, very helpful people especially Yuka in the restaurant who translated each dish and key ingredients so we knew what we were eating beyond the “name”. And there were about 20 dishes to describe! made for a much better experience. in fact everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful.
My family and I stayed for 2 nights and opted for half board. The Japanese and French dinners were excellent, thanks to the culinary skills of the Chefs. Strongly recommend the half board package.
