We stayed one night in ryokan warabino, and wished we could stay for longer.
When we first made the booking, we were planning to take the bus from suzaka station, but they kindly offered for us to be picked up at the station. Taka san came sharp at the agreed time and dropped us at the ryokan to be checked in. We booked a .... room, it had all the amenities it needed including a private toilet. Everything was sparky clean and the room itself was very spacious. Onsens were private, they had 3 of them which we could go and enjoy for maximum one hour at a time.
Dinner was served sharp at 6. Food was delicious, they offered a traditional, menu with seasonal produce. We were fully stuffed at the end of the dinner. Traditional beds were so comfy. We had a good night's sleep, had a morning bath in the onsen overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was also served sharp at 8 in the morning. They were so kind to then drop us off at the suzaka station after we checked out. Staff were very welcoming.
Our stay at ryokan warabino helped us to relax and rewind. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese experience, and a comfortable lovely stay. We would definitely come back to stay longer when we next visit Japan.

The best service we've ever had anywhere. Chie was essentially like our personal attendant, helping us with everything including serving dinner, making reservations, and even calling around to find a place that had my size snowboarding boot rental at a local ski resort. She made the experience for us that much better.

The location was great! Easy to walk around the town and come back to the room! I like the attention to detail, the towels were soft and they wrote a handwritten note to welcome me. Also, I like the history book in the room!

Room was spacious and room facilities excellent. Onsen was excellent. Will never forget bathing in the outdoor onsen at night, with the snow falling gently on our heads.
Shuttle transfer worked very smoothly.
Hotel in a lovely position, with gorgeous mountain views from the rooms, and a short walk to the Snow Monkey Park.

Located a short walk from the train station, so it was easy to reach. Breakfast and dinner were both good, though I felt the breakfast was a better value. The baths were nice and the room was spacious (we stayed in the pine (松) room, three people in the four person capacity room). We had a private toilet and sink. The room had many nice decorative details and was very traditional.
As families grow in size, their vacation needs grow with them. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater to all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. You can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, game rooms, fitness centers, and pool areas where children can play and parents can relax.
The place has many kind staff members but the atmosphere of the place is really like a family. The owner is one of the kindest people I have met and the people that were also staying at the guest house were great too. Also, i had the chance to meet some very kind local people. There's so many delicious local foods that they recommend you, but when you find a place yourself, that's a true gem. This location has quite a few small museums that you can check out too, but even more things are a couple minutes away by train, car and bike
The best guesthouse I've ever stayed in! The hosts were so friendly I had so much fun. They showed me Hotaru (fireflies!) and we made onigiri to take to a nearby waterfall! My experience felt too good to be true! Thank you Marina, Risa and everyone else I met
