The room was spacious and sufficiently heated up, which all of us appreciated. The vegetarian food served at dinner and breakfast was delicious and sumptuous. Staff were attentive and accommodating.

Our stay at Yochi-in was excellent in every way. The monks were welcoming, the food was exceptional, and the room was warm and comfortable. We would highly recommend!

Compact room, clean and comfortable with good heating and bathroom. All that we required for an overnighter to Koyasan. The location is perfect, within walking distance to everywhere, and with bus stop around the corner if you don't want to walk. Tommy is very helpful, advising on evening restaurants (there aren't many), and minding our bags after checkout. Good simple breakfast in his cafe next door.

Staying in Koyasan for New Year's Eve was a truly magical experience. The opportunity to witness the solemn prayer ceremony and hear the deep, resonant tones of the temple bell in such a sacred setting was truly unforgettable. The serene ambiance of the temple enveloped me, offering a sense of tranquility and peace that made time seem to stand still. For those seeking a unique and spiritual New Year's Eve, I wholeheartedly recommend Koyasan. Just be sure to book your accommodation well in advance. I love here in Suzumeno🫶🥰😘

The most wonderful and peaceful place I have ever stayed. I was assisted by friendly staff. When I couldn't book a room for my vacation, the temple arranged an extra place for me, and I stayed here throughout my trip. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious.

Throughly enjoyed our 2 night stay.
Hearing was excellent and needed as the winters are cold.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
What a fantastic experience to stay at a home away from home. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating since we wanted our family to be together in one place. They also explained the highlights of Koyasan and we highly recommend Tommy guest house due to the warmth of the hosts, the cleanliness of the accommodation and the delicious breakfast that is homemade especially the tomato salad and the carrot cake. Thank you for baking our stay so special 😊
It was a very interesting experience to visit a fudoin. The staff was very friendly and the ambience was fantastic. It was also fun to visit the fudoin with a group. I would gladly do this again.
Great experience staying at a Shukubo. Good vegetarian dinner and breakfast included. There’s also family mart nearby if you feel a late night peckish.
Beautiful and affordable accomodation in Koyasan! Ryochi, the owner treats the guests like family and is a great guide for the area. He really helped me with planning hiking trips during my stay. The beds are clean and spacious, and there is a cozy communal area to hang out in. Homemade dinners and breakfasts were also delicious! Would definitely stay again if I ever return to Koyasan. :)
We are a family of four with two teenagers, they gave us two tatami rooms. The whole experience was very interesting. We did a meditation session and a morning Buddhist fire ceremony. Location was good. Walking distance to everything.
Toilet and shower/bath are shared. There's no air conditioning in the room.
Buddhist vegetarian Breakfast and dinner was very good.
it’s hard to compare to a hotel because this isn’t just a hotel, it’s a functioning temple set in very scenic grounds and you’re paying for an experience and we loved it. we had the western style family room and found it all to be very comfortable. views of the courtyard from the room which was very impressive. service from the staff was very friendly.
