They facilities are immaculate. Clean and practical. It is about 8 mins walk from the station through the outlet. Though you could always get a free ride from the hotel shuttle service anywhere within the prince ski resort complex. However, what impressed us most was the service. Excellent, extremely attentive staff. Cannot beat that.
Surrounded by lush greenery, Mampei Hotel offers free WiFi and free on-site private parking. JR Karuizawa Station is a 10-minute drive from this nonsmoking accommodations.

As families grow in size, their vacation needs grow with them. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater to all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. You can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, game rooms, fitness centers, and pool areas where children can play and parents can relax.
I travelled with children and chose to stay at the cottage type E with 2 bedrooms which was great for us as cottage was spacious and the kids can move around comfortably. While we stayed it was snowing for 2 days and the morning view on the porch of the cottage was superb. The room temperature was also very well controlled as we do not feel too cold inside the cottage at all while the outside was very cold.
Fantastic boutique hotel in Karuizawa. Free parking. Family room was so big - we loved the size, the decoration, the cleanliness. The family rooms have DVD players. There are also record players you can take to the room - this was a great experience for our kids, who had never seen records before. Just a short drive away is a bunch of lovely restaurants/shops and a fancy onsen. This hotel is obviously a labour of love.
It’s a ski resort. The equipment rental and cable car ticket office are just steps away from the lobby. There are various ski schools available as well. It’s friendly for families with young children as you don’t need to walk too far to the school or ski rental. There’s also an outlet nearby so people who don’t ski can go shopping so it caters to everyone’s needs.
A perfect villa for family with kids at prime location. The villa is new, clean & equipped with everything you’ll need. My kids loved the hammock & mini theatre there.
The cottages were really cute and fun for families or groups of friends (2 bedrooms in 1 cottage). It would be very beautiful in winter/snowy season.
As the east wing and cottages are slightly far from the shopping plaza and the station, the property provided free shuttle service when needed which was great.
Staying so close to the largest shopping outlet plaza in Japan was really great! The deals were really good.
Had a warm welcome at the check-in desk and the staff was very friendly and attended to all my queries. The West Wing is located very close to the hot spring and the outdoor hot spring is just excellent. The entire hotel is massive and has everything we need and the facilities are just perfect for families with kids too. The shopping plaza is only a few minutes walk away and it's just amazing! Will definitely visit again!
The staff are really helpful. I requested for yamato courier services for my luggages and the staff helped explain to me the process, time expectations, and patiently fill in the details with me since there's a lot of japanese words in the form. They also provided a baby cot upon request, very family friendly. Kudos to the crew!
