The location is ideal—just a short walk from the Sunflower Ferry port and conveniently close to the city center. The lobby offers a welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy complimentary hot and cold drinks, play retro video games, read books, or simply unwind while watching anime on TV. The room was exceptionally spacious, one of the largest we experienced during our stay in Japan.

Excellent beds, very quiet area.
Biggest surprise for me was that at breakfast I got a letter in Dutch explaining the dishes!
Onsen were during my stay semi-private (meaning you were allowed to lock them during use) which I reckon is a plus for some people or families (personally I don't mind).
Food was excellent with a free tasting of Sake. In the common area there were free drinks (also beer).

A unique experience of staying in a Japanese house. Clean d comfortable. Sakura was very responsive to all my questions. She even helped us to make reservations for our dinner. The location is near to the train station and Sakura showed us a short cut to the bus stop nearby.

Extremely nice at reception. Went out of their way to prepare and explain a map for me for finding the fireworks display.
The onsen are very clean and well kept. You can enjoy 2 different Onsen depending on the time. (Men/women bath will be exchanged day/noon).
It was a calm and quite environment.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Hotel was nicely renovated and decorated. Rooms were a great size with a balcony, and also had a private hot spring onsen in the room which is good for families with children. Bed was extremely comfortable and view was fantastic.
Spa facilities were alright and location was ideal. Would have been perfect if they have open spa for families so that both kids and parents can enjoy the open spa together!
Amenities were amazing. Not just washing machine, washing liquid and bathroom dryer. They have some type of drying rack and lots of hangers. It’s so good for long term travelers.
We stayed here 2 adults and 2 young kids, good size room and nice simple furnitures. The beds are low, so good for baby and toddler. Bed sheets are so soft. Nice and comfy thin pillows.
Parking spot isn’t in or next to the house but very close. Me and my family really liked here.
Staff were nice although we didn’t see them much besides check in. Brought us mixed sandwiches at night for a breakfast the next morning :) We stayed in a family share room which was comfy. Used the projector to watch anime and a movie - super fun! Convenient for visiting Beppu Hells!
Excellent customer service. Extremely attentive staff. Room and the bath (private and public) are great. Overall, top notch. Property isn't huge so there's a sense of privacy and getaway feel. Great for couples and families although kids might get bored. More for adults. Dinners and breakfast are fantastic. Feels exclusive.
Location just beside JR, room include breakfast, twin room come with 2 double bed, just nice for 2 adults and 2 kids family. Surrounding with restaurant.
-Sora-Kan building felt newly built, gorgeous, and rooms were huge (by Japan standards!).
-Views from both onsens were incredible (Tanayu in the main building, and the one in Sora-Kan which is only available for guests staying in that wing)
-Tons of activities and super family friendly. Had an astronomer with a telescope both nights I was there. Also has arcade, bowling/games, and a pool with light show every night.
The entire place is really tranquil with plenty of greenery and a pond with koi fishes. The onsen was kept nice and clean. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. The breakfast and dinner provided was also excellent with child friendly option for my son as well. The private family onsen was also a nice addition allowing us to have a private outdoor bath at a reserved time slot.
