Set in the center of Lecco, Villa del Cigno has a peaceful location even thought it is just 2625 feet from the main square.

The breakfast was abundant and offered a good variety. Service by Viviana was friendly. Our large corner room on the 1st floor (that means 2nd floor in the US) looked out over the lawn. The Villa is old and the floors and doors sometimes creak, but that is part of the charm. The rooms, while not extravagant, offered all the necessities. We flew into Milan Malpensa and took the train to Lecco, walking from the station to the Villa. Check-in instructions were provided in advance and we were able to access the property, the villa, and our room with no difficulty. The Villa was quiet except in the morning rush hour when there is traffic in the city. We met some friendly grocers down the street with whom we communicated in Spanish. (I don't know Italian and Spanish is closely related). They even waved goodbye as we walked back to the train station upon our departure. We enjoyed Lecco and our stay at Villa del Cigno.
