The Priory, hotel in Hereford

Situated in Hereford and only 6.7 km from Hereford Cathedral, The Priory features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We had been there before so everything was familiar to us. It was very close to the family we were visiting over Christmas. It was quiet, had everything we needed and we could do our own thing. As it was self-catered, we could get up when we wanted, have breakfast when we wanted, etc. Also very close to Hereford for sightseeing and shopping.

We received a warm and genuine welcome into a beautiful character property, the owners were relaxed and professional. Our room was large with large en-suite. The room decor was immaculate and very comfortable and warm on a cold and wet night. The tea and coffee selection provided was good with a pod coffee machine ( not great for the planet but convenient in the circumstances ) We had a delicious homemade evening meal. Breakfast was superb, loads of choice, delicious Avocado and poached eggs on sourdough toast, good coffee. James and Fiona did everything to make you fell welcome nothing was too much trouble. A great place to stay and explore the location around Hay on Wye.

Last minute New Year Eve trip. Had exceptional food in the restaurant, best trout my partner has ever eaten! The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for us. Although the room was not enormous, it was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended...

Only stayed 1 night but it was ideal for our requirements. As we came up from Plymouth and our daughter & son in-law came down from Wetherby for our gradchildren's christening. Perfect location and with public car park very close by. Rooms were very comfortable with ensuite facilities. Breakfast was good and the service was spot on. Will definitely come back again when coming to Hereford to visit our son and family.

The one mattress was not very comfortable but we see that this has already been addressed. So, I would definitely stay again. I’m from Hereford so it’s nice to have a place where me and my partner can come to stay and visit family but have our own space. It wouldn’t work for us on every occasion, as we have a dog, but for this trip which was for a family funeral it was absolutely perfect. The apartment is done tastefully and looks lovely. Like a little home from home.

The owners were very kind and came to meet us shortly after arrival and offered advice about things to do in the area. They were also very responsive ahead of our arrival with any questions. The house was really well equipped and comfortable for our family, our toddler particularly loved the hut in the garden which was a perfect play space for him in the rain.

The property was perfect, just right for a family, everything was present if we needed it….washing machine, dish washer etc…..my grandchildren loved the cottage, and didn’t want to leave ! ….super location, in village, with local pub, but towns close by and accessible. Forest of Dean not far away, with lots to do with the kids 😃.

Old, interesting feel to the hotel despite it having lovely modern facilities. Very central. Had to check out unexpectedly due to one of the children being unwell. Staff offered to refund our second night despite checking out at 9pm. More than generous.

After a long train trip on route to a family wedding, we were welcomed with a hot pot of coffee and lovely biscuits . The building was warm and homely and our room was all ready. The location was brill for train/ town/ restaurants. We had a lovely glass of wine before bed and played the board games which was good fun. The breakfast was delicious and we were given endless rounds of toast and hot / cold drinks . The whole stay was really relaxed . We really enjoyed ourselves , many thanks to the owner !

Quiet location. Perfect for exploring the Wye Valley and local area. Comfortable for family of 4; 2 adults, 2 teenagers. Good facilities, good wifi (needed for the kids!). Would definitely visit again using it as a base for exploring. There's more accommodation onsite which looks great too, useful if wanting to go with family and friends.

We spent a fantastic 2 nights at Longworth Hall. The staff were professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble in terms of making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Very family friendly. Beautiful large and clean room that was warm and cosy. Places to take the kids out for walks and very close to Hereford so it was an easy travel to get to the Courtyard Theatre. Will definitely be going back! Thank you to the manager Kim and her lovely staff for making our stay such a treat!
