Lovely spot with a no fuss welcome for us in spite of a late booking and arrival time. Quiet bar area was fantastic! Host put some extra logs in the fire to keep us warm with a trust bar. Would definitely stay again!

Location is perfect for exploring Helvelyn. Beautifully located hostel - sound of gushing water nearby was really soothing. Really friendly and helpful staff. Updated toilets and showers nicely finished. Crisp clean bed linen and warm duvets for cold nights. Good to have a private, family room. Loved the board games! One lovely staff member brought his own game in for us to try. Top bloke! Have stayed before - this was our second visit - would come again.

Overall the property was nice. The car park was to small, there were a few with children and disabilities that had to park elsewhere. The lift wasn’t working which wasn’t ideal for anyone above the ground floor. There was a young blonde gentleman that was always happy and was very helpful!!! He was always running around whilst others weren’t.

Returning to my childhood holiday cottage is always a pleasure..... The cottage is well maintained and everything you need, (apart from oven gloves, I do lots of cooking). Well situated with walks from the door. A big thank you to the owners.

My young family and I stayed at the Glenridding hotel for 1 night. The staff were ALL so friendly and helpful. The pool was excellent for the children, the ping pong & snooker table were also appericated. The family room was spaciouse, the bunk bead for the kids were fun and safe The breakfast was tasty and filling. Would definitely return. Handy location for exploring the lakes. We ate in the bar in the evening, and the food was really nice.

The staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. we tried the pool and even relived a bit of childish fun playing ping pong! The location is superb and during the heatwave it was wonderful to sit at the waters edge as the sun went down. We ate in the restaurant both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We also very much enjoyed the range of ties that the assistant manager wore everyday - proper made us chuckle and the food and beverage staff were so funny!

We as a family absolutely loved the hotel, it’s clean, caters well for families, the wonderful staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. The children throughly enjoyed the swimming pool, this was the only reason why we chose to stay here. We enjoyed our stay that much that we’ve already booked to go back in August with friends and their children.
