Islay House - Blue Room, hotel in Woodend

Located in Woodend and only 12 km from Macedon Train Station, Islay House - Blue Room provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

I stayed for one night so I could revisit Hanging Rock and participate at Campaspe parkrun the following day. I really enjoyed my stay. Islay house is about 5-10 mins walk from Woodend station. Very close to the town centre and right across the road from Campaspe parkrun. I was made to feel very welcome. Tarni and Clive are really nice and friendly and I really enjoyed their company. I was especially grateful to Tarni for offering to take me to the rock and picking me up later. I didn't expect it. Not many people would do that. It was such a nice gesture, and I really appreciated it. The property is really clean and comfortable. In fact, I had the best night's sleep throughout my time in Australia when I stayed here. The blue room was a lovely room to stay in, spotless and spacious. I had a good breakfast the following morning at a time, which suited me. I could have easily stayed for longer, and I do hope to go back again at some point. I was very happy with my decision to come here. It was perfect for what I was looking for and if you're planning to visit woodend, this is the place to come. Highly recommended!!

This is a remarkable property. Gorgeous views, the most amazing sunset I have seen in ages. It just went on and on. The wonderful thing is the owners approach to their farm and animals, their care and dedication to honouring the land, the environment and the lives of their animals and the wildlife. Oh yes, and the care for their guests

Hotel Trentham Villa 1, hotel in Woodend

Situated in Trentham, 33 km from Macedon Train Station and 23 km from The Convent Gallery Daylesford, Hotel Trentham Villa 1 offers air conditioning.

The villas are set up very well for two couples, each with a spacious bedroom and bathroom upstairs, a dining, and living area, laundry and third toilet downstairs. It's in a great location, round the corner from the main street. We were two families staying in Villas 1 and 2 and liked the gate that opened between the courtyards at the back so we could visit each other.

Everything about our stay was superb and our family of six spanning three generations was all very well catered for. Mia and Tony are kind, generous and lovely hosts and they provided beautiful fresh bread and eggs, homemade jams and sparkling wine on arrival. The property was beautifully presented and was spotlessly clean. We couldn't fault a thing and enjoyed every minute of our stay at this wonderful, welcoming and well-equipped home.

The location is fantastic. It is very private and the room was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. A huge bonus for us was the wildlife - loads of kangaroos and a family of deer to watch with morning coffee.

The location of Hanging Rock Views was perfect and the views were breathtaking. We had our morning coffees and afternoon drinks outside to watch the sunset. Such a beautiful place for families or couples to getaway from home and take a breath of fresh air. Amazing facilities for such an incredible price. 10/10 would recommend and come back again!

Great accomodation, modern, clean and in a quiet street. Close walk to the shops and restaurants. Comfy beds. Good space for the family to be together for meals and also to chill separately (across the 2 apartments). Jen was a great host accomodating request for the sofa bed (which was ready on arrival) and helping with local horse-riding.

It was a very nice little flat, great for a small group of friends or family. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was lovely, spacious and clean and the living area was perfect for us. Additionally, the fridge had a freezer section and there was plenty of cutlery and crockery.
