In my opinion, this has to be the best place in the whole of Tunis! Over the course of six weeks we stayed in around 22 different hotels, and this one is one of my favorites. Our room was huge and we had not one but two balconies (each with a different aspect) looking out over the square. Fabulous for people watching - there was always something happening in the square below. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly (they tried to teach us one or two new Arabic words each day, which had amusing consequences. Despite the central location, the room was quiet at night. Amenities were spacious and with quirky painted walls. Best of all, the hotel was located at the edge of the medina, which offered hours and hours of exploration and getting lost. Many options for food in surrounding streets as well. Buffet breakfast was on the average side (don't forget to ask for an omelette or fried eggs if that's your thing.

Amazing palace, with beautiful rooms and superb halls and facilities. The restaurant was great too and although I didn’t get the chance to try the spa but it looked great. Such a royal treat

We only stayed for one night but had a great time. The staff helped set up transportation from the airport for 15 EUR. When we arrived, we were shown to our room. The building is beautiful, especially the rooftop. Since we arrived late, they helped us get food. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was overall clean. The breakfast was delicious!!

The property is situated in the very center of the old part - Medina. The property it self has a vibe of past times and it's nicely decorated. The stuff was very nice and the breakfast tasty and plentiful.

Located in the Medina of Tunis, 12 km from Tunis-Carthage international airport, Dar Ben Gacem is a traditional-style accommodation which offers free Wi-Fi access and a terrace overlooking the city. Such an amazing experience: gorgeous historic hotel in the centre of the medina, so the location is perfect. The staff was amazing in telling us about the history of the hotel and showing us all facilities. The place is simply beautiful. Make sure to order the shakshuka for breakfast, it blew my socks off!!!
