It is located nice beach and near by Flix bus terminal. I could go to bus terminal by walk. Room was clean, wide and beautiful. They served to me twice meals for a day. Dinner was so great, breakfast was various , delicious too. Staff was so kind. If I visit to Albufera, I will stay this hotel. It was very very nice hotel.

Hotel Baltum er umkringt líflegri götu með veitingastöðum og börum. Það er með sólarhringsmóttöku og loftkæld herbergi. Strönd Albufeira er aðeins í 50 metra fjarlægð. Baltum, is in excellent location, the rooms are spotless, rooms cleaned daily and I observed the lady cleaning door handles frequently. Excellent value, we just had bed, but no breakfast, allowed us try somewhere different each day. Highly recommend.

3-star Colina do Mar is centrally located in historic Albufeira, just 200 metres from the beach. It has a roof top swimming pool with ocean views and a sun terrace. Fernando was so friendly and always smiling. Room was lovely with comfy bed. Clean and tidy.

Although I was initially concerned due to some reviews, I ended up being very pleased with my stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and customer-oriented, always ready to help. My room was quite large (situated on the 3rd floor, reception floor, offering views of the old city and the ocean). It had a refrigerator, air conditioning, and a safe (available for an additional fee). The room was clean and comfortable, and it was cleaned every day (contrary to some reviews claiming otherwise). The breakfast was really good, enough food to choose what to eat. Just a recommendation to add some vegetables. The location is really excellent! There are restaurants, bars, shops, and a pharmacy nearby, and access to the beach is just a three-minute walk from the hotel. Perfect! Regarding comments about the “mountainous terrain” and the “difficult climb to the hotel”: Albufeira is situated in a rocky area with lots of descents and ascents. If you have difficulty walking or have musculoskeletal problems, you might need to choose another city. As for noise, I generally can recommend everyone to have earplugs at any trip to avoid issues with sleeping. It's clear, that if you want to stay close to the city center, the beach, bars, and restaurants in a resort town, you should be prepared for its nightlife. If you are not, then better to choose a quiet family hotel on the outskirts of the city, where it will be peaceful, but you'll need a taxi to get to all the party spots. So, can say, that I was delighted with my holidays in Albufeira and this hotel. If I ever return, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Staying at Maria‘s guest house was like staying with a good friend. Maria is the most kind and warm person you will ever meet in Portugal. She and I sat and talked every day that I was there. The location is phenomenal. Literally you can walk out the front door, and walk through the access tunnel to get to the beach, in less than 5 minutes. At the beach, in the summertime you can pay 10€ to secure a lounge chair under a palapa umbrella with bar and food service. At the guest house there is no elevator, and you will have to walk up one flight of stairs up to your guestroom. My room had a portable air conditioner, and balcony facing the busy pedestrian alleyway full of restaurants and bars. All rooms have PRIVATE BATHS. There is a communal kitchen where guests are welcomed to prepare a lite breakfast if you bring food with you. I took the Rede bus from Lisbon to Albufeira, then jumped on a local bus, down to the edge of old town and it was easy. You can pay on the bus. I think it was 1.50 euro. Once you get off the bus, you’ll have to drag your luggage 10 minutes through old town to reach Maria’s guest house. No cars have accessibility into the old town area. It’s only by foot. When I return to Albufeira, I will most definitely stay at Maria’s Guest house…Highly recommend!!!
