Housed in a historic building from 1876, Opus XVI, an Edvard Grieg Heritage Hotel, is a luxury hotel located in central Bergen featuring individually designed rooms and suites. The hotel was located right in the middle of Bergen, perfect and central to everything. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, opulent surroundings and nothing like this in New Zealand. It was historical and we loved it. The staff at reception were so helpful and friendly, they even helped take bags up to our room. Which as a very nice room - one of the few with a view over the harbour. We love the half day cruise up the fjord - well worth it.

Charmante - Skostredet Hôtel is well situated in the center of Bergen, and has a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. This 5-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. This is a charming new hotel located in a fun part of Bergen! I loved the French decor and Edith Piaf and others continuously steaming through cached speakers in the hallways and rooms. The bathrooms had brilliant marble and fun ceiling mirrors. Even with the impressive decor, the staff is what stole the show. Princess was the first to greet us. She answered all our questions, gave us important information about Bergen, shared recommendations, and gave us a packed breakfast for the day we had to leave early for our fjord tour. Joyce, Alexis, Stef, and Paul, also deserve special shout outs. They were professional, accomadating, and excellent at anticipating our needs. They called taxis, prepared packed breakfasts, found seats at the hotel, and just made us feel welcomed. This hotel gets an A for its special staff and customer service practices. Finally, it’s an interesting concept that I’ve only seen in movies where the hotel guests can get “taken up” into the busyness and crowds of the brasserie. The Charmante is a hotel but I learned that people are really into the French cuisine & wines at the restaurant. As we came during the Christmas season and within the first 3 months of the hotels opening it was VERY busy with dinner guests— but I loved the buzz. And if some do not like this, they can just go to their rooms— the noise does not follow :-)

Bergen Harbor Hotel, World Hotels Crafted is centrally located in Bergen, 0.6 mi from Bergen University. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Location: Excellent. The hotel is located near the Bergen harbour, walking distance from the ship cruises, to the funicular to the Floyen mountain and to the Berghuis castle. Also fish market, many shops and restaurants are nearby. Staff: Very helpful, patient and polite. Gave many good advises. Room: Standard room. Not particularly spacious, but well equipped and very clean. The same goes for the bathroom. Breakfast: Excellent. In the nearby restaurant (Soya?). Very tasty, superb quality (and quantity...) An important bonus is that the coffee machine can be used at any time, and it is on the house.

Located next to Bergen Train Station, designer hotel Zander K is a 3 minute walk from Bergen city center. Each room includes a flat-screen TV. All rooms have a private bathroom fitted with a shower. The most amazing buffet breakfast here! The room was comfortable, modern and clean. The downstairs bar area is really nicely decorated and they serve the best hot chocolate!

Offering a sky bar overlooking the mountains and Bergen, this Scandic hotel is located next to Bergen Train Station. we would like to sincere thank the Mr. Stian Flett-Monsen Front Office Manager Ms. Ingrid ,Therese and Mr.Joachim for kindly helping me for the check-in and for the parking of our car in the Bygarasjen , showing your hotel’s warm welcoming service .  Our special thanks also go to Ms. Justtyna the house keeping manager and manager in duty, who came to our room only 5 minutes after our call to Reception for the problem of our clogged sink and immediately solved the problem. It was 18:30 already, we did not expect any one from the housekeeping to help us after working hours, but we were happily surprised that the manager Justyna came herself within 5 minutes.   Besides, thehotel’s breakfast is the among the best one of all the 4 stars hotels we experienced in Europe!  This is the first time we experience a Scandic hotel, and we are really very happy to chose to stay 4 nights in this hotel!

Set on the same grounds as the Michael Monastery in the Nordnes area of Bergen, Klosterhagen Hotel offers free WiFi and rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Bergen Aquarium is a 10-minute walk away. Good location, clean and really complete breakfast

Featuring self-service check-in, Citybox provides budget accommodations in central Bergen, just 1312 feet from Bergen Station. This hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi access. Great hotel in the centre of Bergen, walking distance to most places in town. The bed was comfortable, check-in smooth and the size of the room was bigger than expected. It provides great value for money!

This charming, family-owned hotel is set in two late 19th-century buildings by Bergen’s Nygårdsparken. The second building is across the street from the main building. Very good retro design with a convenient location closed to the center. The staff are very friendly and a free breakfast are included.
