Shimizu Ryokan ligger i Yufu, 15 km fra Yufuin Motorsykkelmuseum og 16 km fra Kinrinkosjøen, og tilbyr innkvartering med hage, gratis WiFi overalt og gratis privat parkering. Well, not quite sure how but we got the best room in the place. Six tatami bedroom with an eight tatami living room, terrace onto a private zen garden, and en suite toilet. The onsen are great, with a large shared onsen inside a cave (gender segregated), and a private bath available by booking. The bar with an open fire is a great place to relax after the onsen.

Situated in a historic and peaceful hot spring town, Ryokan Yamashiroya boasts spacious hot spring baths and comfortable Japanese-style guest rooms. Breakfast and dinner were very elaborate and delicious- some of the best we had in Japan! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable with thoughtful touches, like a video on how to use onsen. It was nice to be able to reserve private onsen for our family, especially since I have a tattoo and cannot use public ones. The onsen were beautiful, well maintained, and always available.
